The past few days have been sprinkled with tiny Wes milestones. He really started exercising his grasping reflex (officially called the palmer reflex for our science followers) this weekend. We like to conveniently forget it's a reflex and pretend we're holding hands.
Wes' umbilical cord also fell off Saturday morning...at 4 A.M...when mom was changing him in dim light. Needless to say, it was far more startling than cute.
Finally, Wes has found his thumbs! He first discovered these favorite phalanges when we were at the pediatrician's office on Thursday. Saturday he managed to find them again after his bath. For now, it's the cutest thing he can possibly do. Hopefully he drops this habit before college!
