I misjudged you, Autumn.

Starting around mid-July, as I'm splashing in the pool with Wes or enjoying a post-toddler-bedtime drink on the porch with neighbors, a feeling of dread starts to creep its way into my mind. In a few short months, winter will come, and we will be stuck within the confines of our home for more hours than we can fathom. I have never, ever been a fan of winter, usually to the point where I can't even really enjoy all beautiful elements of autumn due to the impending cold weather months. But something is a little different this year.  Perhaps it's the mild weather we've had, or the many mornings we have spent at the pumpkin patch, but fall has proven to be unexpectedly wonderful.

I need to say "thanks" to our neighbors who let us play with their
backyard toys and trees during the day...this is not our own backyard!
