If I could relive any age, it might just be 1.5 years old. Wes seems to have an awful lot of fun these days, and I'm thinking it's not such a bad gig to be a toddler. He pretty much has figured out walking and takes far fewer tumbles nowadays, toys can be found in quite literally every room of our house, and each night he gets a warm bath, bottle, and snuggles before bed. I'm pretty sure most adults wouldn't mind spending a day in the world of Wes.

Lately Wes has been showing a lot more independence. He likes to help put groceries away, take his own drink to the table, and most recently, choose his own bath toys.

Eating becomes an entirely different experience when you have a kid. Gone are the days of sitting down for an entire meal while civilly eating with utensils, although we sure do seem to laugh a lot more often.

Aaaand this is why we don't go to places with real menus....
yes, that's our son, eating directly from the table....like a dog. |
We finally had our second legitimate snowfall of the year, and we took advantage of the warm(ish) days to follow.

Attempt #1 at a family portrait: trying to hold a toddler who prefers to be
running in the snow rather than in the shackles of Mom and Dad |

Attempt #2: runaway toddler |

Attempt #3: Quick, grab the dog...success! |
