Summer is in full swing at the Mullins' house. We have been filling our days with wagon walks around the block, backyard shenanigans with the neighbors, and bikerides around the neighborhood. One of our favorite things about this stage of Wes' life is that he is in absolute awe of so many things. Water squirting from a hose is amazing. Birds picking at Mom's garden are intriguing. Playing fetch with Bear is hilarious. He has reminded us to live for the little moments (and to let go of the tough ones).

One of his most recent discoveries is that sheets are
awesome. We usually let him roll around on our bed before his bath, and the other night he discovered how much fun the top sheet can be. Add a camera to the scene and he really started hamming it up!
Wes has also recently started swim lessons with Mom. Well, they are sort of like swim lessons. There are songs that are supposed to be sung and bubbles to be blown, but mostly Mom and Wes just splash in the water. Wes seems to like kicking in the deeper water and laughing at Mom as she attempts to blow bubbles. All is good until we try the back float...that usually puts an end to pool time!
