All In a Day's Work

When you are two-and-a-half years old, your job is to play.  (Luckily, I have found that this doesn't change much when you are 30 years old either!)  Now that the days are warmer and sunnier, we have taken playing to a whole new, slightly exhausting, level.  We have always said Wes is a hard worker and likes to have a job to do, so it doesn't surprise us that he considers play to be serious business.

He's a tough boss...

The only thing better than playing is fixing.  Nothing makes Wes happier than helping to fix his toys when they need a new screw, light, or battery.  Sometimes we take apart a toy even if isn't broken, just so we can put it back together again.

The best thing Wes has "fixed" has been his pick-up truck.  Wes and Grandpa Miller installed a battery in it for the first time, and both the squealing giggles and tires were equally entertaining.  We did learn that Wes is ridiculously good at steering, even while backing up!

Grandma and Grandpa Mullins visited for Easter and set up an Easter egg hunt for Wes.  He is young enough to believe the candy was for Mom and Dad and the coins are for college.  What a sucker sweetie!

Sean has had a busy semester juggling not only his full time career, but graduate school, graduate research, teaching at IWU, and being a dad.  Though I deeply appreciate the sacrifices Sean makes for our family, no one looks up to him quite as much as Wesley.  When Dad's around, everything is more fun.

Feeding the birds (and bunnies) is daily fun.

We can always count on friends to provide lots of fun, laughter, and toys.  It's really neat to watch these kiddos grow up together.
