Adventures...Go!

We've kept ourselves busy this spring with adventures both big and small.

Over the past few months, Wes has developed a love (or obsession, if we're being honest) of the solar system.  And as a parent, I've learned that it's most fun if the grown-ups just go right along with it.

During Sean's spring break, we took a trip up to the Adler Planetarium in Chicago.  We weren't sure how Wes would do, considering it's fairly large and crowded.  But he loved it and has asked to go back nearly every day since.

Apparently, with a bit of help from Dad, the outer space obsession can even go as far as Play Doh.

Easter once again brought the adventure of dyeing eggs.  This year, it was (thankfully) warm enough to do this mess outside.

Over spring break we also tackled a painting job in the room we use as a library.  With a paint color called "meteor dust" and some NASA themed artwork, Wes was a happy helper.

I thought Baseball Guy might have retired after last season, but with the onset of warmer weather, he has returned with perhaps more fervor than before.

Wes loves playing with his neighbor buddies, and has adopted the youngest one, Jack, as his little brother.

Preschool continues to be something Wes enjoys each week, and I've been able to go on a few field trips with him as well as see one of his show-and-tells.  It's adorable overload, every time.

The show and tell theme was something that begins with "N"...

Little did I know one of the best parts of preschool would be the gifts found at the bottom of his tiny backpack.  Excuse me, I must have something in my eye...
